The Digital Learning Design Programme
Designed for learning professionals and subject specialists, this programme provides you with the skills you need to create engaging and effective digital learning content in all its forms, from simple slides, PDFs, podcasts and screencasts, through to videos, quizzes, tutorials and scenarios. You’ll learn to analyse learning requirements and audience characteristics, select the most appropriate forms of content, and then work individually or with specialists to design, develop and deploy your content.
The programme centres on a highly-practical 5-day workshop in which you spend most of your time ‘making stuff’. Working in small groups, you will develop over the week a wide-ranging portfolio of content. When you’re not engaged in practical work, you will have the chance to engage with guest experts from the world of graphics, audio, video and interactive design and to review and discuss each other’s work and that of third parties.
In preparation for the workshop, you will be provided with a copy of the book Digital Learning Content: A Designer’s Guide and asked to review video interviews with leading designers. Following the workshop, you will have eight weeks in which to prepare a small portfolio of content for review by your tutor.
Scheduled workshop dates:
TBC, but we look forward to seeing you again in 2021.
